Louis Tomlinson of One Direction closed the purchase of the club on Thursday, June 18 in a partnership with the club president, John Ryan.

Tomlinson played for the reserve team earlier this year (2014) and is fond of Doncaster. "It's like a young John Ryan, in the sense that is ambitious by Rovers and really loves the club," Ryan said.
"Although we are complete opposites on the issue of age, but it can help. As a combination we're good, because it is a super star and attracts young people, and I probably am the businessman more established and has been through a lot."

Because Ryan was with Doncaster when the rise of the lower divisions of the English league is played and left the leadership of the club in November 2013.
"In his mind everything is possible" so says John, Louis Tomlinson because both his life changed in so little time.

Louis Tomlinson de One Direction cerró la compra del club el jueves 18 de junio en una sociedad con el expresidente del club, John Ryan.

Tomlinson jugó para la reserva del equipo a inicios de este año (2014) y es aficionado del Doncaster. "Es como un joven John Ryan, en el sentido que es ambicioso por los Rovers y realmente ama el club" dijo Ryan.

"Aunque estamos completamente opuestos en el tema de edad, pero eso puede ayudar. Como combinación estamos bien, porque es una súper estrella y atrae a gente joven, y yo soy probablemente el hombre de negocios más establecido y que ha pasado por mucho".

Porque Ryan estuvo con el Doncaster cuando se jugaron el ascenso de las divisiones más bajas de la liga inglesa  y dejó la dirigencia del club en noviembre del 2013.
